Community Corner at Birmingham Museum & Arts Gallery

We are thrilled to be on the Community Corner board in Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery Industrial Gallery from April to June! Come along and have a read, interact with the display and let us know your thoughts.
“A community exhibition on the themes of death, dying and grief has opened at Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery… The exhibition looks at rituals and traditions surrounding death and mourning and invites visitors to consider the topic of how artificial intelligence (AI) can be used to manage grief. It also highlights artworks in the museum which explore the themes of death, dying and grief, as well as giving information about BrumYODO and organisations providing grief support services.”(www.birminghammuseums.org.uk/stories/community-display-opens-at-birmingham-museum-art-gallery-as-part-of-a-matter-of-life-and-death-festival)
We have pop up and craft events happening in front of the board including Wings, Petals, Memories with ITZATNA Arts on Saturday 2nd May, Keep me in your pocket – join textile artist Tina Francis and remember loved ones through stitching and embroidery on May 8th and Grief Through Clay with artist Jemma Mellor on May 15th.
Further pop-up art and craft activities will be taking place in front of the community display in the Made in Birmingham gallery in the museum during the festival – watch this space!
