An illustrated talk into the archaeology of Park Street burial ground, being excavated as part of the preparatory work for HS2 rail line.
This investigation of a 19th century graveyard is giving archaeologists the opportunity to learn about life and death in Birmingham as it changed from a market town to industrial city.
Archaeologists from MOLA-Headland Infrastructure (MHI) will explore the scientific techniques they’ve used, from geophysical surveys to isotopic testing, and what they’ve learnt from the past.
Free entry. Places must be pre-booked by emailing Rosie Barker on Rosie.Barker@BirminghamMuseums.org.uk.
