Do you find it daunting to know where to start with young people when talking about death? There are some wonderful picture books that explore death which can be helpful to encourage discussions that feel safe. Author Juliet Clare Bell will be bringing along her long list of twenty-one recommendations. Come and look, discuss and find the book(s) that suit you.

Juliet’s is the author of Benny’s Hat, a story about siblings, love, loss and hope with illustration by Dave Gray.

“With a powerfully simple text and heartbreakingly lovely illustrations, this book is a small masterpiece of honesty and comfort for the darkest of times”

Debi Gliori (Author and illustrator of international best-selling ‘No Matter What’)

“The book and superb illustrations work on many levels breaking taboos yet without imposing anything on its readership. Instead this book thoughtfully and gently provides a vehicle to allow discussion and shared grief in a way younger children may participate and understand” Alan Kessedjian, Consultant Clinical Psychologist.

Available at £7.99 from www.pomelopip.com and Amazon.co.uk. Picture book trailer on YouTube and www.pomelopip.com
