Flowers to die for
May 11 @ 12:00 pm - 3:30 pm
Join Carole Patilla of Tuckshop Flowers for her interactive funeral flowers pop-up display in Birmingham’s grade II listed Coffin Works – formerly Newman Brothers, the last coffin-furniture manufactory in the UK who operated from these Fleet Street premises for over 100 years. Meet ‘Miriam’ – Carole’s original shareable casket spray, explore ideas for what natural, sustainable funeral flowers can be and make your own compostable mini wreath with a dried flower embellishment to take away. This Dying Matters Awareness Week event celebrates the public launch of the Farewell Flowers Directory and provides a great opportunity to have a joyful think about how funeral flowers can reflect your personality and life without leaving behind a legacy of plastic.
Cost: the pop-up event is free but admission charges for the museum apply.
