A day of talks aiming to bring academics, the funeral industry and the general public together to share knowledge about funerals. What better way for the Coffin Works to  to kick off their contributions to Dying Matters Week and A Matter of Life and Death Festival!

A diverse programme includes curious tales from Arnos Vale Cemetery and talks on Victorian funerals, mourning for infants and children in Victorian times, epitaphs, excavating burial ground and the history of UK embalming. The day rounds off with BrumYODO’s Carrie Weekes talking about how you funerals can meet people’s wishes. Full programme and booking here
